Out of all the 4 pictures that I took, this was the clearest picture that turned out. For this picture, I placed the pinhole camera on the ground by the back doors of the school and held the shutter open for 8 seconds. The sky in my image has lines going down it and i think that happened because it was snowing that day. A problem that happened with the image was the big black triangle that showed up at the top, i think this happened because i may have left it in the developer for not the right time, or there was a light leak into my box that made the image turn out that way.

Journal #1
During this week my friend Laura from Burlington came over and we did a photo-shoot in the snow. It was difficult to take the pictures because it was snowing pretty hard and I had to try not to get my lens wet.
Me and my mom went for a drive around so that I could find things to take pictures of. I found this bear attached to a post and it was soaking wet since it rained not to long after I took this.
This photo is a picture of my friends new kittens that he just got. I really like how the cats eyes stand out and how their looking right at the camera.
I got a new puppy recently and he went outside after we had this big snow storm for his first time in the snow. He was sticking his face in the snow and eating it so i decided it would be a good idea to take a picture of him with snow all over his face.
During this week I also went to Niagara Falls with my friend my mom. We went at night when all this lights were lit up and I thought this picture looked interesting with the lights lit up and the shapes in the Sky Wheel.

Getting to know your style - Assignment #1
Title: "Ke'e beach sunset"
Photographer: Stephanie Sawyer
I picked this image because I loved the lighting and colours such as the green moss at the front left, and the bright orange sun coming threw the black clouds, this is what really caught my eye looking at the picture.
Secondly I picked this image because of the point of view which is looking into the distance. The image shows this because of the water going off into the distance, and instead of looking up into the sky, because of the clouds covering it, it makes your eye drawn to the illusion that you're looking into the distance.
Thirdly I picked this picture because I love landscape photography and this is a great picture for that type.
Lastly I picked this picture because of the way the picture was taken, it almost gives the illusion that the photographer was standing in the moss when she took this. I also think the image is outstanding and beautiful because of the location.
Title: "Lemon"
Photographer: Heather Rivera
I picked this image because it's a fine art picture which is one of my favorite types of photography because there is so many different ways that pictures can be taken, and most fine art photography is creative and interesting to look at. Secondly I picked this image because of the way that its staged. I think that its very interesting to look at how it looks like a lemon got cut into 4 pieces and was falling. I think this picture was either taken from above where the cut pieces of lemon were placed on a black sheet or table, or each piece was taken separate and photoshopped together. Thirdly I like how its such a basic picture of one item, but the bright yellow stands out against the black background which makes it pleasing to look at. Lastly I like this picture because of the creativity put into it.
Title: "Drip"
Photographer: Laura Bello
I like this image because of the emotion that's put into it, the woman almost looks sad or scared because of the way her hands are places and the makeup that appears to look like it's dripping down her face. Secondly I picked this picture because I like how the colours continue threw the whole picture, such as the little bit of colour in her hair, down to her makeup, than down to her hand. I also think those two colours look very appealing together which makes me enjoy this image even more. Thirdly I like this picture because its like looking at a painting that is made into a photograph because a lot of photography is of just woman with not as dramatic makeup that you would not often see unless someone drew or painted it on paper. Lastly I like this image because it fills up the whole frame, and brings your eye from the top of the frame down to the very bottom where her hands are places which makes it very interesting to look at.
