Born into Brothers: Questions

PART A
 1. The reason why Zana gave the camera to the children was because she wanted to see the world threw the children's eyes and that's why she didn't take the photographs herself.

2. The photographers point of view is important because you can see things that may not be able to be expressed by words and to see things from a different opinion/point of view from the photographers eyes.  Photographs cant be labeled as good or bad, or right or wrong because they are considered to be different from every persons interest and opinion, everyone has different tastes in art.  For example someone may think a picture is horrible, yet someone else will think it's the best picture in the world.

3. I can inform that Avijit is very creative and wants to share that by expressing his emotions with colour.  It also shows that maybe he isn't that good with expressing himself with words so he uses creativity instead to show and express his personal feelings.

4. My definition of "personal expression" is a way of showcasing your own personality, emotions and feelings in a way that is personal and meaning full to you using things such as art and writing to express it.
Photography, painting, and writing are forms of persona expression because there is no right or wrong way of doing it, and it can be done in any way your mind wants to express its self by using things such as colours and shapes.

5. Art can be used to teach issues because people can get a visual about the issue like global warming for example.  They can also read emotions threw art shown by colours like using black and white; normally used to show both good and bad emotion.  Dull colours normally represent sad or depressing subject matter, where bright "fun" colours are based more on a happier subject matter, but it can vary depending on the photograph. It also gives people different views on issues, for example with global warming; if a picture of ice melting around a polar bear is dark, or maybe black and white it gives the viewer the impression that global warming is a bad issue, not good.

PART B
1.
I think this image is beautiful because of the bright colours used on the mans body with the dark background, it makes you almost wonder why the colours are on the mans body and what story is behind the image.
I really like this image because the whole picture is black, except for the one window in the center and because of the window, you can see whats just barley going on in the room, it almost looks like a woman is sitting there, or may be doing something like writing.  It really catches my eye because i think the silhouette of the woman is a great picture because it just shows you don't need tons of detail to make a good picture.

2. I didn't understand the question.

3.  A picture does not have to be beautiful to be effective because it just has to hold the viewers attention so they can read the message trying to be given out from the photograph.  The image could be dull and dark and still be catchy to the eye.  It does help because a picture that is attractive to the eye will draw people in to try to know more about the photo and its meaning.
